Starting with our vibrant residents: Did you know we support 2,375 residents? But in reality, we touch even more lives when you include all the family members who are part of the St Vincent's family.

Season 2 of Celebrating You was designed to help families navigate their emotions during one of the hardest times of their lives. Watch it here: Celebrating You Season 2 | Watch Now (svcs.org.au)

Meals provided at St Vincent's Care

Guess how many meals and snacks we've served to our fabulous community this year? A whopping 4,432,000! Our chefs are passionate about good food, and it shows.

This year, two of our chefs, David Martin and Harry Shen, flew to London to compete in the International Salon Culinaire — one of the globe's most prestigious culinary competitions. They competed against some of the best chefs around and brought home two silver medals for their food. Who says aged care cuisine can't be fantastic?

End of Life at St Vincent's Care

This year, we’ve said goodbye to 428 residents, each celebrated for who they are.

To support residents, families, and employees during these times, we launched Family Circle.

This initiative integrates the emotional needs of families with the compassionate care of residents in their final stages of life, knowing that small acts of kindness, friendliness, and patience make a big difference

For Maria, whose parents were in our care, our staff became more than just professionals—they became family. Her experience with Family Circle highlights a community that extends beyond the medical, emphasizing warmth, connection, and a shared journey towards acceptance

St Vincent's Care NPS Scores and Satisfaction

We’re thrilled to share our NPS score is 62, well above the industry average! NPS measures how many people would recommend us to a friend, reflecting how our community views us – so this one is close to our hearts ❤️

This year, we launched a Consumer Advisory Body to help review our consumer projects and enhance our community's experience. The body includes current residents, family members, St Vincent’s employees, and is led by independent Chair, Lisa, and engagement adviser, Sandy.

We’re committed to making sure all our residents and families feel heard and know they are truly at the heart of everything we do.

We’re excited to see what we can achieve together!

How Our Employees Feel About Working With Us

High Fives All Around! 🙌 Our eNPS score is a fantastic 32! eNPS measures how many of our employees would recommend St Vincent’s as a great place to work. It shows just how much they love being part of our team.

We believe this fantastic score comes from celebrating and recognising our staff not only for what they do but for who they are. We love to celebrate achievements, years of service, birthdays, and milestones together. Any opportunity for connection, community, and a bit of laughter is welcome!

At St Vincent’s, we know that kindness works for us – we’re incredibly proud to have such a kind and dedicated team and even prouder that they love working with us.

Compliance for Our Aged Care Homes

Achieving 100% compliance across all 23 of our homes is no small feat, but we've done it! Our secret? Putting our residents first, always.

Compliance is about more than just ticking boxes – it’s about keeping our residents safe and happy. Our compliance team visit homes regularly, supporting leaders and staff to be proactive and creating an environment where people are empowered to raise questions or concerns. It’s a team effort, and our staff’s dedication shines through as they go above and beyond to meet resident needs each day.

Our compliance is checked through surprise audits that involve interviews with frontline staff, residents, and families – not just managers. We’re incredibly proud that these results reflect our daily commitment to excellent and compassionate care.

We’re so proud of this achievement and of the kind, passionate people who make it possible every day.

Training for Our New Approach to Care

This year, we proudly introduced Heartprint, our new care model that places residents at the heart of everything we do with personalised, compassionate care. 🌟 So far, 1,176 employees across QLD, NSW, and VIC have completed Heartprint training – an incredible milestone!

Heartprint empowers us to truly know each resident and meet their needs beyond the clinical. It’s all about fostering meaningful relationships and enriching the communities in our homes.

We can’t wait to see the continued positive impact of Heartprint on our community. 💖

Donations for Our Aged Care Homes

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the St Vincent’s Foundation Queensland, we’ve received $230,080 in kind donations!

With these funds, we’re able to bring some fantastic extras to our homes that truly make a difference, including some stand outs of the year:

⭐ A Tovertafel projector, a "magic table" that creates interactive sensory experiences fostering fun and connection for people living with dementia

🎵 A beautiful new piano

These amazing additions spark joy, creativity, and happiness in our community, enriching resident wellbeing and making everyone's days more vibrant.

We wholeheartedly believe that every phase of life should be filled with joy, fulfillment, and opportunities to learn and grow, regardless of age.

A huge thank you to the Foundation and all our generous donors for making this possible!

How St Vincent's Care Has Helped Vulnerable People

We're all about supporting vulnerable people, and we’ve got some amazing milestones to share! 🌟

For the past 4 years, we’ve partnered with Emmanuel City Mission, giving over $100,000 to support those in need. Through our St Vincent’s Sleep Under the Stars initiative, we’ve raised an additional $10,000!

Each year, we fund 2 Community Nurses to offer medical support to Emmanuel City Mission's patrons, showing our commitment to giving back. Plus, we supply $20,000 worth of medical and first aid supplies annually.

The number of people seeking help from EMC has grown from about 80-90 a day to over 180, so we know these services are much needed. We're so proud to support Emmanuel City Mission and be a part of their incredible work.
